An Arabic Reading of Snow White at Lilipad Library

In March 2022, Fairy Tales Retold was invited to do an Arabic Reading of Snow White for the children at the Lilipad Library in BENN Britz, Berlin. 

The Lilipad Library is a multilingual library that serves over 120 kids that are living in community accommodation, many of whom are refugees and have little access to books in German or their own language. Our reader Abdullah Saleh, a kindergarten teacher in Berlin, was delighted to share the story of a brave Snow White with the children.  

After the reading, the children colored some pages from our illustrator Claudia Piras.

We happily donated a book to the library to add to their multilingual collection and look forward to further cooperation with Lilipad Library! Next up is a German reading at their Marzahn location! If you want to volunteer your time or donate books, please contact Lilipad Library directly.
