Social Media Manager

Job description

We are looking for a Social Media Manager to develop and implement a strategy for our children's book series, Fairy Tales Retold.

We are a small, friendly and ambitious company. The role would involve working with Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms to grow our brand, follower base and prepare for a potential crowd-funding campaign to support the publication of our second book.

The ideal candidate is a hard-working team player who will play a critical role in creating original digital content across various social media platforms.


  • Develop social media strategy

  • Create and curate original content for publishing on Instagram & Facebook

  • Post and schedule posts across social media

  • Work with influencers and develop partnership with other brands

  • Provide brief data analysis and weekly updates on key targets & performance

Experience & Attributes

  • Fluent in English (essential)

  • Fluent in German (required)

  • Experience in creating original and creative content for Facebook and Instagram (essential)

  • Experience in growing social media audiences on Facebook and Instagram (essential)

  • Experience in having managed company social media profiles (desired)

  • Experience in having managed Kickstarter campaigns (ideal)

We offer flexible hours to accomodate individual working needs. The role is initially offered on a part-time basis of 10 - 15 hours / week at a competitive salary. If the role is a success, we hope to grow it into a full-time position in the future. We are open to strong remote candidates; however, preference will be given to candidates based in Berlin.
